About CementLogic
CementLogic is an independent technical publication for people who run, troubleshoot and optimise cement plants. We focus on what actually happens on the plant floor: kiln burning, raw and cement mills, vertical roller mills (VRMs), fans and draft, baghouses, quality control and process optimisation.
Why CementLogic exists
Textbooks explain the theory, but a control room operator at 3 a.m. needs to know why the VRM is vibrating, why the kiln is running hot, or why the fan power has gone up. CementLogic exists to bridge that gap with clear explanations, practical parameters and field-tested troubleshooting logic.
Who writes this site
CementLogic is written and maintained by Mahipal Khichar, a cement plant process optimisation professional and control room practitioner with 10 years of experience in the cement industry, working at plant, a 10,000 TPD integrated cement plant. His hands-on work includes Raw mill and Cement mill operation, VRM stability, Fan draft balancing, Pyro-processing troubleshooting.

Our editorial approach
- Every article is based on practical plant experience and standard cement-process principles.
- Illustrations are conceptual unless stated otherwise. They are not OEM drawings or design references.
- Plant data and parameters vary from plant to plant. Always verify values against your own plant’s data, OEM guidelines and safety procedures before making any change.
